Importance of Glycemic Index

What and when you eat throughout your day is crucial for your body composition.


For example, before a training session it is best to have something high in G.I (glycemic index) such as honey, sugar, maltodextrin or vitargo, this will aid in high energy levels without bloating and keeps your blood rushing in your body - the perfect feeling for a workout.

Many are fooled into drinking protein shakes or, for example, having peanut butter before a workout, this won't do you much good as you might feel slightly heavy and lethargic during the workout, due to your digestive system being worked.
